During the past year CACHE launched the Ambassador Program, which is a new benefit for CACHE member programs. The Ambassador Program aims to facilitate communication and collaboration with member departments, and to provide opportunities for networking and engagement by faculty interested in the CACHE mission. Among the 73 CACHE member departments, 32 have designated an ambassador : https://cache.org/headquarters#amb

The ambassadors are invited to participate in the in-person CACHE Trustees meeting at the AIChE Annual Meeting, and to a virtual meeting with the trustees in the spring (recently held on April 17, 2026). The purpose of the meetings is for ambassadors to provide their perspective and to influence the current and future activities of CACHE. The meetings also provide an opportunity for CACHE to disseminate information to ambassadors about our programs and resources, such as conferences and teaching resources, which they further share within their organizations. At the recent spring meeting, ambassadors shared interests including the use of AI in teaching, the need for AI-ready datasets, and the importance of training students with computational skills. Ambassadors may also choose participate in CACHE initiatives, such as the LearnChemE, Molecular Modeling and Design Task Forces.
